Minneapolis Vintage Market
Yesterday, I attended the Minneapolis Vintage Market (MVM) at the Nilson Cultural Center part of the American Swedish Institute (ASI) at 2600 Park Ave. I drove around the parking lot and neighborhood multiple times looking for a parking space. After twenty minutes, a space opened up two blocks north of the Swan Turnblad mansion. The crowds of people coming and going from the ASI made for fun people watching. Some were dressed casual for summer but, many had a heightened fas

Stylist Saturday: My go-to children's sunglasses
When it comes to things for my children, I aim for practical purchases that are still stylish, without breaking the bank. While scrolling for a picture for this weeks stylist Saturday, I keep seeing a familiar item for my kiddos I adore, babiators! John received his first pair as a present when he was a babe and I have never looked back. I have tried other sunglasses for my loves, however they always seem to feel either too plasticy, too heavy, or too stiff and I just feel

Buy-of-the-Week:
What it is: Cosmic Blazer Where I bought it: Athleta Cost: $198.00 How I will wear it: Athleisure wear is so very popular due to its versatility and its comfort. I loved seeing Athleta come out with a polished looking blazer last year, made of stretchable, breathable fabric. I have been told to look for gray and navy color options to come in the future. I hope so! I have purchased this for a couple of my clients and I think it's a winner. Final Rating: 5 stars - Moveabl

Buy-of-the-Week: Cole Haan Loafer
What: Cole Haan Nantucket Loafer Where: DSW Why: Many of my clients work in a business-casual environment. They need a polish of sophistication without the full blown suit. Rather, the typical outfit would be blouse, slim dress pant, and flat or wedge for shoes. Shoes are always my priority of investment. Comfort is key. When you can achieve both class and comfort, the result is gold. This Cole Haan is exactly that! I personally purchased in navy. I wear with jeans, s

Stylist Saturday: Kathy
Summer Daze Once Summer hits I pull out my cut off jeans. I love them! They go from being paired with a tshirt working in the garden to a shell top and jacket to a Barbeque. Today I had to run errands at the mall and then, make a quick escape to attend a pool party with my son. After that, I caught up with my husband to attend a barbeque in the park. This outfit got me through from activity to activity. similar items: brown leather flip flops Cut off jean shorts teal sle

Buy of the Week: Carly
My buy of the week is actually something I purchased last year and saw that JCrew is offering it again this season. It truly has been probably my best buy of the past two years as I use it constantly! I am speaking of a boring striped rash guard I bought last summer. Though it doesn't drive me wild with excitement it has been AMAZING to use for a few reasons: 1) I keeps me warm on early summer lake days when I would rather not be in the water with my kiddos 2) It matches wi

How To Buy A Bra That Actually Fits!
"How do I buy a bra that actually fits? How do I find a bra that looks and feels good?"
If I had a nickel for every time a client asked me these questions, well, I'd have a lot of nickels! I usually reply with "When was your last bra fitting?" After a gentle sigh, they reluctantly admit that it has been far too long. This area of a wardrobe can feel very personal, because it is. We have to show more than what we are used to in order to get the job done and quite frankly,
