Our Stylists----Now Booking Fall 2024!

Labor Day has passed and school is officially back in session! The team and I met in July to brainstorm what our fall would look like and BOOM, here we are! We love this time of year because the change in season really inspires transition in our wardrobes. Although the weather has not completely turned, we sense change on the horizon and feel excitement. Between closet purges, shops (in person & online), outfit creations, packing for trips, and continuing to help our clients curate their personal style, we're ready!!

We wanted to take a moment, say hello, share our most recent life highlights, and include our availability.

Victoria

Victoria earned her New York State Esthetician's License in 2008 and has a background as a makeup artist.

After moving to Minnesota and taking a few years away from the skin care industry to raise her family, she is back in school working toward her Master Esthetician's degree. She looks forward to this advanced course load and servicing clients in the Twin Cities.

For fashion, autumn is Victoria's favorite season! She loves to create layered looks in deep rich tones such as burgundy, navy and black. She enjoys adding blazers to her t-shirt & jean outfits. With the addition of a platform ankle bootie, you have a classic Victoria look!

Victoria really likes working with a range of clients but connects well with women in their midlives who are experiencing changes to their skin and bodies. They are at points of needing to reimagine their make-up, skin care and wardrobe routines. As we age, our product formulations must change, and this is an area of expertise for Victoria. She enjoys experimenting with products (clothing, too!) and could spend a whole day in Ulta!

Victoria is available by appointment (specifically mornings/afternoons) and looks forward to supporting her clients with all of their wardrobe and beauty needs.

Devin

Devin recently graduated in May with her Master’s in Counseling and Psychological Services. She has earned her license as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is working towards her licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor. In June, Devin started working as a mental health therapist and has been absolutely loving it! Since she is working fully remote and clients only see the top half of her, Devin is loving loungewear. She is most excited to wear matching sweater sets this fall. Her favorite set is the Free People Hailee Cardi Set!

Clothes are more than something we wear. They help us express our feelings, they can influence our thoughts and behaviors, and they can influence how others perceive us, which can shape how they interact with us. There are so many opportunities that come from the world of clothing.

Devin works exclusively remote and through our online closet. She loves seeing women who are into current styles and loves to express themselves through their clothes. She enjoys playing with and utilizing different colors, fabrics, and styles to bring out your personality.

Sydnie

I am entering my 10th year as both a wardrobe stylist and dance instructor. I think back to the summer of 2015.

Keith had just graduated from college and we were about to move to the Twin Cities to pursue new career opportunities. I had done my fair share of retail and was ready for a shift. I remember finding A' La Mode online and reaching out to owner/founder Carly via email to see if she had any job openings. She replied and we met over coffee. The rest is history! And quite honestly, I'm just so grateful. To be doing not one but TWO things I absolutely love doing, feels like such a gift.

In January 2021, I took on ownership of A' La Mode. I have learned so much beyond my stylist role and want to continue to do my best to serve this business to the best of my ability. Most recently, we had someone help us navigate marketing & social media. This feels like an ever-changing realm (and to be honest, one that I don't always feel strong in or as passionate about). I want our audience to get to know us, but in ways that are authentic to us. It's certainly a fine balance! And this is where today's blog comes in. I pushed pause on the blog between taking on the ownership role and covid. I missed doing it and am excited to revive it!

For fall, I am most looking forward to styling my jeans and button-up shirts in warmer ways! These pieces tend to be year-round staples for me so when it comes to changing up the season, shoes & layers are the influencers. I switch out sandals for sneakers & booties and find additional layers for my shirts, rather than the shirt acting as a layer. When not in these items, I am in Athletic/Athleisure (specifically Athleta), as I am teaching and at the gym often!

I love working with clients (men & women of varying ages) that really want to connect beyond clothing. They seek deeper meaning in who they are and who they are when they put on the clothes that make them feel like their most sincere selves. Styles might influence, but I am a true believer in that a style isn't the definer of the wearer. In fact, I think our style can oftentimes change based on our day, mood, weather and beyond.

Come play dress up with me! My schedule varies but outside of teaching Monday & Wednesday evenings, I tend to keep my schedule open for clients.
