Why did you buy it?

I'm going to be 100% honest. I've been knocking the velvet trend this season. However, my opinion quickly changed when putting this little number on. I was on the hunt for a dress to wear to a "cabin-like" themed wedding. This one brought warmth into the cold. The silhouette is beautiful, going higher around the neck, hitting the waist, and skimming down the leg with a slight peplum flare at the hem; really accentuates all of the right curves.

How do you wear and pair?

For this wedding, I wore a faux-fur shawl to match the outdoors vibe. On the leg, I did a lace hosiery with nude sheer under that for extra warmth. I was loving texture with this outfit so I did a black velvet ankle strap heel. Such a fun, cozy outfit for a winter wedding.
