Gala Dress Stylist Saturday

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with a dear friend to find a dress for a formal gala. Lisa would be attending a celebration honoring Augsburg College having started 150 years ago. She herself attended, as did parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. The event would be one for the books. Like many of my clients preparing for events, they want to feel their best and when shopping isn't your favorite, it's stressful to attempt.

We took our adventures to Ridgedale Mall, starting at Nordstrom. We had little luck but carried forth into Macy's. The selection was much wider and at points, overwhelming. We pulled piles of gowns and faced the mission with brave, eager faces. One by one, we narrowed down until we had two potentials; one being a jumpsuit and the other being a gown (Similar 1, Similar 2), both in the color navy. Lisa bought both to make a final choice at home.

Since they were similar enough, we were able to pick jewelry and shoes to pair easily with either one. We selected a nice silver, drop earring and metallic, Dansko sandal. Whenever there are feet issues

involved, I do not hesitate to make sure comfort and quality are number one. Even though these are not a traditional heel, they transition in multiple settings; more bang for your buck!

The last detail was getting the right support through a bra fitting and shape

wear. This makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to achieving a stellar look. My go-to spot for this is Allure Intimates.

As I was out socializing with friends last night, I received a picture of the lovely lady herself! She looked radiant and enjoyed her evening with an unforgettable look. Cheers to being fabulous!

Do you have a special occasion coming up? We can help through an easy, 3 hour shop!

XOXO

Sydnie
