Last Wednesday the team from A La Mode had a morning meeting at the Good Day Cafe. We all were craving something a little different and the cafe did not disappoint. From our meeting, I chose to drive to a couple spots and check out a couple stores that I'd been hearing a buzz about. Driving about ten minutes east of the cafe, I found myself on Hennepin Ave at AURA Boutique.

Aura Boutique is located four to five blocks east of Lake of the Isles. The area has a hip-urban feel with a lot of energy as people walk to and fro.

First impressions are important in retail. When I entered Aura's, their open modern space felt inviting. Right away, my eyes were drawn to the front table with bright colored leggings and displays of sun glasses. It was a sunny day and my eyes were wishing I'd brought my sunglasses. The variety of styles displayed were modern and fun; something for everyone.

I walked the store and found the clothing collection to be casual, hip, and energetic. Yet, along their back wall they had several options for more formal attire.

When I tour a boutique, it is my practice to try several options on to see if the fit is true to size or if they carry vanity sizes or run small. I tried on three tops and found them all to be true to size.
