Classic Wrist Watch

Why I bought it

When I was in third grade, I got a Mickey Mouse wrist watch with a red adjustable band for Christmas. I was proud to wear it and I've been wearing watches ever since.

Cell phones have reduced the need for a wrist watch. But, Cell phones are tacky when at a luncheon or business meeting. Yet, a wrist watch is acceptable and tells quite a bit about a person's style and eye for detail.

There are so many styles and options available, one could collect watches like some collect shoes. But, if you've not worn a watch and are considering purchasing one, I would lead you to a classic leather strap watch of black or brown. I wear my black leather strap watch almost daily. In the summer time, I like to lighten the look with a cognac brown option.

Wear & Pair

They look great with denim but, they also wear well with suiting or a dress. The only place I would avoid wearing a leather strap watch, is to a formal affair. In that case, I would go without my watch and keep a time piece (Cell phone) in my clutch purse.

Price

prices are all over the board. Target has some excellent watches that have "the look." But, like designer purses, you can pay a pretty penny for a designer watch.

Final rating

I love watches and wear mine almost every day! It's an easy way to accessorize.
