Holiday Buys: Stylist Sydnie

We have a mere 13 days until Christmas!! How are your holiday shopping lists coming along? I started noticing this week that many websites were advertising LAST DAY FOR ORDERS TO ARRIVE BY CHRISTMAS. It seems online retail has been especially busy these days between covid and convenience, so the pressure is on for finishing all of the gift shopping :)

I wanted to take today to share with you, some of my finds for a few of my favorite people:

For the guy who runs hot: My hubs is always on the warm side and would be perfectly happy if our thermostat was at 60 degrees. I've even bought bamboo sheets to help keep him cool so I can remain bundled in all of my blankets. Last month while scrolling Instagram, an advertisement came up that I knew was going to be perfect for Keith. Buttercloth, a company shown on Shark Tank, makes and designs shirts made with mint fibers and 6-way stretch. The mint is supposed to keep the cool factor on and the heat at bay. I am so excited for Keith to open these up and try them on! I ordered him Midnight Charcoal and Mountain View.

For someone spending more time at home: Normally I think slippers are over-done at Christmas but that was before I found a QUALITY pair (Kamik Chalet) I knew would be worth while for the right person. They aren't meant to be overly cute or flattering but I think the coloring and cozy nature are great for the at-home wear. The soles won't slip either. One thing to note on these is that they are running small by a half to full size.

For the dad that needs a good flannel pajama bottom: More and more stores are jumping on lounge/pajama train with the increased time people are spending in their homes. Banana Republic is one of those stores and I have to say, I'm rather impressed. In comparison to J.Crew's, I actually likes BR's more. The fabric is slightly softer at first touch. I know my step dad will love these and will help better build his collection!

For the classic jewelry wearer: Is your gift recipient less into trendy, bold jewelry? A mini hoop is a perfect option if the ears are pierced. This is a low price point and SO versatile. I own both silver and gold in these and they tend to be my go-to when needing to throw on jewelry on my way out the door.

For the girl/woman who loves versatility: This waffle knit pairs so well between leggings,

loungewear, and jeans! I own this number in the ivory and love to throw on, front tucked into a jean, belt, and either ankle bootie or sneaker. I have also bought for a friend in navy. Bonus; it's an awesome price!!

For the slim fit jean lover: J.Crew totally kills it for me when it comes to jeans for

both men and women. The men's 484 slim fit denim is classic and comes in a great variation of washes. The women's 9" toothpick is a personal favorite of mine. The back pocket placement and rise are what make this my favorite denim fit.

For the leather lover: Madewell does an incredible job when

it comes to their leather products. A great chelsea boot and matching belt are the perfect way to keep someone's wardrobe looking chic! The saddle color is so beautiful and can mix seamlessly.

I have personally bought all of these pieces and am so excited to be gifting them to the people I love! Full disclosure, I may have also bought and gifted to myself :) I couldn't resist!!

Also, it's still not too late to purchase gift certificates from À La Mode Wardrobe Consulting! Contact us for any of your needs and we will be happy to help!

Cheers!
