Buy-of-the-Week: My favorite ankle boots

The next two weeks are all about ankle boots here at À La Mode. And while I love ankle boots and will certainly be wearing many of my loves from years past, with fall beginning around us, I am most excited for my newest addition to my boot lineup, a waterproof Chelsea rain boot by Hunter.

Last year, I was wearing my Pikolinos (read more on them here) and snow boots constantly as I was doing so much running around in the elements. If I worked in a desk job I would wear leather boots all day every day, but I don't and am constantly on the go. Especially for casual, I kept running into days I was wearing my joggers or straight leg jeans and other then my Pikolinos, none of my snow boots or other casual run around styles worked with the look.

Enter this little stunner from the anniversary sale. I have already worn it a few times and it looks SO good with a straight leg jean or jogger pant. If you are wearing more skinny jeans or tights, I would go for a full length version, however for me in my current style, these are perfection. They come in a few colors, but I chose the glossy navy as I thought it was still funky, but would look great with black and any color I had on. I have a knee high hunter from years ago that goes to the knee that I also purchased in navy (but the matte) and I have always loved their versatility to match with everything!

Not the ankle boot I expected to write about this fall, but certainly my new love which I know will get TONS of wear with my mostly casual lifestyle!
