The Outfit to Get You Through Winter: Stylist Saturday-Sydnie

They say this January 2020 has been one of the most overcast we have experienced in Minnesota for some time. It's no wonder we are all feeling a bit low on energy. Although the vitamin D is lacking, I stay motivated by shopping missions. Yesterday I was able to take a couple of work friends shopping and give them the experience I am so grateful to give others. My goal is that every client leaves feeling an elevated knowledge of how to dress, that the clothing reflects them personally, and that the individual feels confident/beautiful. Nothing feels better than seeing a person embrace that transformation.

I dressed for this shop knowing that I wanted to hit the ground running and by that, I mean quite

literally. My shoes needed to provide ample comfort to cruise through multiple stores. Although I love my ankle booties, I am also a big fan of my Sam Edelman loafers. They have a support through the arch that leaves my feet feeling good after several hours of shopping. These ones specifically, even come in a snake print, which I decided to try as a small statement this year. They go with so many outfits between casual and business attire.

From the shoe, I continued the look in a very neutral, but polished manner. I love a coated black skinny jean as it provides sheen and interest. These are Good American.

Always watch for your

pocket placement when picking the perfect jean so that your backside is balanced and proportioned correctly.

I paired a new sweater purchased from Saks Off Fifth for my top. I learned recently that brighter whites look flattering on my "winter" skin tone. I am trying to take the advice and follow the color palette. On another note, now is a GREAT time to purchase sweaters and coats as spring lines are starting to arrive in stores. There are so many sales. Load up and prepare yourself for next year, as well as finish out this season on a cozy-cute note!

Accessories are typically the last thing I worry about. An earring is a go-to for me so I went with a statement Baublebar from Target (similar). On the way out my door, I grab my leather backpack (similar) I recently purchased from Banana Republic. I am trying this out as my purse to put a little less pressure and stress on my back. So far I am loving it!

I'd love to help you find your personal wardrobe essentials as we head into spring! Contact us on our site to set up an appointment and ask any questions!

Happy Saturday!

XOXO

Sydnie
