Lately I have been feeling a little shift in my wardrobe choices. As many of our clients often feel, sometimes I look in my closet and feel less than satisfied. It's hard to pinpoint why but when assessing what is worn versus not, personal style hints can be found.

Through my college years, I loved the idea of a preppy look. I'd wear button-ups under sweaters or dresses and added a pearl necklace. Although this worked fine, it's certainly not something I am drawn to putting on these days. Instead, pops of edge and ease seem to attract my aesthetic.

My button-ups might be retiring, but I think I found their replacement. This Leith shirt from Nordstrom is cropped. I am not overly tall, 5'2" to be exact. The shirt can easily be worn with a high waisted jean. My latest favorite is the J.Crew button-fly option.

Since I am not into exposing my tummy, I wear the White House Black Market reversible neck tank. This gets tucked into the jean.

To finish off the the look, the right accessories and footwear are key. I do a basic gold hoop and a great mustard Lucky Brand bootie.

The right outfit makes you feel confident. This outfit does that for me. As we discover our own styles, take note of what makes you feel like your best self. That's usually a great sign to follow as you are struggling with your closet.

Happy Saturday!

XOXO

Sydnie
