Stylist Saturday: Sydnie
As most of us are preparing for various holiday parties and festivities, the question that lingers is what to wear. We don't want to repeat outfits from the year prior and risk having duplicate photos.
I love the idea of doing the "ugly" Christmas sweater. So many people can pull it off well. What I found when trying to find one, was that I couldn't do it. As I add items to my closet, I keep it mostly timeless for versatility. I hunted today to find an alternative for upcoming events.
A person can go for the traditional red or green hues in their outfit. With the right skin, hair, and
accessories, this can be done with exception. Or it could just look like Christmas.
Once again, after trying these color combinations on myself, I wasn't sold. Instead, I decided to do my own take on winter white. This can look so fresh and is easily accessorized between added scarf, statement necklace or earring.
I found this sweater at J.Crew Factory. I like the cotton blend material as well as the fit through the body. I found that it fits true to size.
To pair my outfit, I am doing a dark Hudson jean and holiday sock. (hint: to still seem "in the holiday spirit", a printed sock is low commitment on trend unlike the ugly sweater)
Overall, this is a super easy way to dress for your casual-chic Christmas gatherings!
Merry Christmas!
