Styling a Hat: Stylist Devin

Hats! I LOVE HATS! Hat's are fabulous and they say so much about your personality, but the absolute best thing about them is that they hide bad hair days! We don't talk much about styling accessories but the A La Mode crew decided that we're going to show how, starting with hats!

People usually find them to be tricky to wear, but they're honestly so easy! I wear everything from beanies, to baseball hats, to wide brim hats, but I think people are most scared of the wide brim hat, so I chose to show you how I wear mine!

I have two ways of styling this hat: boho and simplistic. I brought this hat with me to Cancun this past winter and wore it to the beach. I wear a Free People slip as my swimsuit cover up and I thought the hat and the slip looked really cute together! That's my sister in the picture with me! I would totally wear this outfit during the summer with a pair of sandals.

The other way I wear it is with a simple outfit. I styled it a simple white button up (with a twist of course because I don't do basics haha) and a pair of jeans! I chose a pair of nude sandal heels because I didn't want the shoe to take away from the hat. You can barely see the shoe on my foot and I really like how that looks. I tried a white mule with it and I thought it was too bright of a shoe and instead of looking at the hat, you would be staring at my feet. I think this hat would also be really cute with a pair of jean shorts and a flowy tank.
