Fall Layering is Back!

I am absolutely loving the Fall weather. I have pulled out my sweaters and topper coats and booties. I packed away my shorts and tanks and summer dresses. I'm ready for leaves to fall and the smells of bonfires.

This is my favorite time of the year to shop. Summer is relaxing and laid back but, fashions are much more fun in the Fall with layering pieces and textures and color. The stores are full of the Fall styles, now. We are seeing lots of animal prints, the return of denim options in cuts other than the skinny jean (still a good option, though) and tall boots are regaining popularity. No matter the current trends, classic looks are always good. I wore this classic look with my new Sam Edelman Cowboy Booties.

I often get asked how to wear pants with booties. One easy way to wear booties with pants is to cuff your denim up with one to two finger width of skin showing between the bottom of the pant and the top of the bootie. It creates a break that features the booties without conflict with the leg of the pant.
