Easy date night outfit! Stylist Saturday: Carly

Date night outfits do not have to be hard, though I think a lot of my clients make them out to be :) It is a constant question I get from people, whether it is a first date or with your partner of many years. My equation for clients is quite simple. Don't try too hard and pick one item that really pops.

You want all parts of your outfit to be figure flattering items you love (to make you feel spectacular inside and out), but often times people try combining too many special items and the outfit doesn't come out right and appears you were trying too hard.

Michael and I were able to slip out last weekend to Hai Hai (highly recommend by the way if you enjoy food a little off the beaten path) and I felt fabulous in what was a simple outfit made up of items I use casually on a regular basis. I went for my jcrew white button-up tucked into my jcrew vintage straight jeans (similar wash...I ordered in a tall as I wear them cuffed up and also down). Swapped out my stud earrings of day for big hoops and finished my look with a crazy shoe I adore (also from JCrew...promise this is not sponsored, I just love their stuff right now) and a clutch from Anthropologie I am OBSESSED with. It simply matches with everything, while having good space and being super different. Sold out at Anthropologie, but this is super similar from Amazon.
