Stylist Saturday: Timeless Style

Wednesday, I worked in a closet with a client. Afterwards, I went to the mall and returned items from a shop I had had with another client. Did you know that A La Mode offers personal shopping? I love the fashion fads that continue to evolve and keep me interested in my closet. We've been seeing embroidery, sleeve embellishments, chunky heels, and frayed and distressed denim (to name a few). But, when it comes to professional attire, the fads don't often translate to wearable at the office. Yes, dress codes have been getting more and more relaxed. But, trends are more difficult to incorporate in business wear. Classic pieces never go out of style.

On Wednesday, I wore this two-piece outfit plus, shoes and jewelry. It was easy; a sheath dress and a suit coat . I chose an earth-tone pallet with the dark gray dress, sandstone blazer and nude pumps. Adding the two gold chain necklaces, added personality and a finishing touch. Often, simple is best.
